I have been working as an upholsterer for the past 7 years. Having had an interest in upholstery for many years, I finally decided to take the plunge and take a diploma in it at The Upholstery Workshop in Alderbury near Salisbury.

 

I take on jobs of all sizes from sofas to dining chairs and use traditional methods where appropriate. I have had very varied commissions from recovering barge cushions to completely stripping back a Georgian chaise longue, re-springing and then re-upholstering it.

 

Examples of my work include

sofas, armchairs, footstools, dining chairs, piano stools, bedroom chairs, curtains

 

I make footstools from scratch and can take commisions to make them in any size required and in a fabric of your choice
